President Proclaims May 7 National Day of Prayer

WASHINGTON —
Proclaiming May 7 a National Day of Prayer, President Bush urged all Americans to give thanks for God’s continued blessings.
He said past generations “trusted in the faithfulness of the Almighty” and that trust was “richly rewarded.”
In 1952, Congress asked that an annual day of prayer be set.
