Here is a partial list of closed facilities and organizations as of late Thursday night. Some information may be outdated by today. Please call where possible. Many services, such as bank branches, were closed Thursday and may reopen today depending on safety conditions. GOVERNMENT OFFICES City: Nineteen city library branches in south, central and western Los Angeles closed Thursday. For information on today’s closures, call (213) 612-3320.

County: All non-emergency Los Angeles County facilities, including museums, libraries and health clinics, within the county curfew area will be closed pending further notice. The county curfew area is roughly bordered by the Long Beach Freeway, the San Diego Freeway, the Santa Monica Freeway and Lomita Boulevard.

State: The Caltrans building at 120 S. Spring St. and the Employment Development Department building at 1525 S. Broadway were closed Thursday.

Normal trash collection schedules will be followed as closely as possible, but there may be some delays because of the curfew or areas of violence.

COURTS AND POLICE Federal courts closed early Thursday and it was unclear if all courtrooms would have a normal schedule today.

With rare exceptions, criminal court proceedings have been indefinitely suspended countywide.

In the Municipal Courts, Presiding Judge Aviva Bob has recommended that criminal hearings be postponed one week. Ticket offices in Baldwin Hills and Westchester were also shut.

TRANSPORTATION RTD service within Los Angeles city limits and Blue Line routes were closed Thursday. Public numbers for canceled lines only: (800) 252-7433; (800) 464-2111.

These RTD bus lines, which generally run through the curfew areas bordered by La Cienega Boulevard on the west, the city limits on the east, Imperial Highway on the south and Adams Boulevard on the north, are canceled until further notice:

Lines 37, 38, 40, 53, 55, 56, 102, 107, 108, 110, 111, 112, 114, 115, 117, 119, 120, 124, 125, 127, 206, 209, 443, 444, 445, 446, 447 and 576.

HEALTH FACILITIES A total of 15 county health clinics were closed Thursday.

BANKS All 90 Wells Fargo Bank branches in Los Angeles County closed Thursday as well as a number of branches for other banks.

POST OFFICES Mail service was suspended to about 200,000 homes from 10 post office branches. No deliveries were made from the following post offices Thursday, but the same 10 post offices will be open today for residents to pick up their Social Security and county checks. Identification will be necessary.

ELEMENTARY AND HIGH SCHOOLS The following school districts will be closed today:

Only 9 of L.A. County’s 261 Catholic elementary and high schools will be open today. For information, call the Los Angeles Archdiocese’ Public Affairs Office at 213-251-3215.

JUNIOR COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES Cal State Dominguez Hills.

Long Beach City College, main campus, and the Pacific Coast Highway campus.

Loyola Law School, through Sunday.

All nine campuses and administrative offices in the Los Angeles Community College District will be closed through Sunday. For more information, call (213) 891-2117.

Operators can provide current curfew boundaries; school, county office and post office closures; transportation agency updates, and some emergency food and shelter that is available.

SOUTH CENTRAL ASSISTANCE

(800) 300-CITY. Councilwoman Rita Walters has established this South-Central Los Angeles hot line for those who need general information and assistance in her council district.

MEDICAL HOT LINE

(800)-559-5252. Operators are taking calls on this special line set up for residents needing general first aid information or hospital referrals.

PROPERTY DAMAGE HOT LINE

(800) 870-1929. Operated by the Los Angeles Office of Emergency Management, this voice-mail line will help officials determine if the damage your home or business suffered will qualify for federal assistance, if it becomes available.

Be prepared to leave your name, address, telephone number and a brief description of the type of property damage. Watch news reports for when federal assistance becomes available.

RED CROSS AID

The American Red Cross is operating a shelter at First AME Church, 2270 S. Harvard Blvd., that is providing food, blankets, cots and other relief items.

The public can call 213-739-5200 for a 24-hour list of Red Cross services provided.
