OZONE DEPLETION
The idea that mankind is capable of creating these cosmic effects creates a picture in my mind of a man pushing on a train that is gradually picking up speed as it leaves the station. He is in fact helping the train, but if he quit pushing, the train would not even notice. Let’s get a handle on the size of the problem before we start shutting down furniture factories in Los Angeles and kidding ourselves that we are really making a serious contribution to solving our pollution problems, or preventing holes in the ozone layer. We may be off the mark by a factor of 10,000 to one.
