Nearly $9,000 was raised for the renovation of Fullerton’s Pacific Auditorium through benefit performances of “Godspell” there that ended Sunday. The renovation, expected to take three to five years, would convert the 900-seat, former movie theater into a hall for live theatrical presentations and community use.

Two support groups at the Newport Harbor Art Museum, the Acquisition Committee and the California Century Club, have merged to form the Curator’s Circle. The group’s inaugural event, “An Evening with the Curators: Robert Storr and Bruce Guenther,” will be held at the museum Thursday at 7 p.m. (cocktails at 6). Storr is curator of contemporary art at the Museum of Modern Art in New York; Guenther is chief curator at Newport Harbor. (714) 759-1122.
