Nintendo Lowers Price on Super NES: Nintendo of America Inc. dropped the price on its Super Nintendo Entertainment System by $30, two days after a price cut by rival Sega Enterprises Ltd. The game set now sells for a suggested retail price of $149.95, said Peter Main, vice president of marketing. Retailers may sell the system for less than that. In January, Redmond, Wash.-based Nintendo lowered the price from a suggested retail price of $199.95 to $179.95. The latest reduction came after Sega cut the price of its Genesis system by $20 to $129.95.
