Minority Chambers of Commerce Planning Get-Acquainted Meetings for Members

Share

For the first time ever, minority business groups in Orange County are making plans for quarterly meetings open to all members of the various organizations.

Although the leaders of the various minority business groups already meet regularly, members of the different groups have not had a regular forum that allows them to meet members of other groups. The purpose of the meetings, say officials of the Minority Business Council of Orange County, is to promote business among different minority groups and increase cross-cultural awareness.

The first meeting will be May 19 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim. Each chamber of commerce will take turns hosting future meetings, said Manuel J. Pena, the council’s president.
