Well, it’s time for the second and final part of the Ojai Film Society’s “Festival of Slightly Overlooked American Movies From 1991.” (Now, don’t say you overlooked the first part of the series.)

On Sunday, the society will show “Rambling Rose” at the Ojai Playhouse.

Yes, it was overlooked at the box office despite its big-name cast--Laura Dern, Diane Ladd, Robert Duvall and John Heard--and its writer, Calder Willingham (who also wrote “The Graduate” and “Little Big Man”).

Dern earned an Academy Award nomination for best actress for her performance in the title role.

Ladd, Dern’s real-life mother, received a best supporting actress nomination.

The R-rated comedy/drama, set in 1935, centers around a Georgia family whose lives change when Rose (Dern) enters the scene.

Rose is an naive orphan from Alabama who has relationship after relationship with the males in town.

Show time is 4:30 p.m. Admission is $6.

The playhouse is at 145 E. Ojai Ave.

You’ll need it for some vicarious traveling beginning this evening.

Tonight, the Ray D. Prueter Library in Port Hueneme will show the film “London.”

And if London isn’t your cup of tea, how about Bolivia?

The South American country will be featured in Sunday’s installation of the Oxnard Civic Auditorium’s Travel Film Series. The film is titled “Discover Bolivia.”

With authentic Andean music in the background, the film will take the viewer to Lake Titicaca, to the pre-Inca temples at Tiahuanaco and to Lake Poopo to see the llama herders.
