Public Schools Try to Cope With Inadequate Funding
- Share via
I am writing to you to express my concern about the budget cuts in funding for public schools.
Our school recently sent out a letter to parents asking them if they would pay $150 to have their child take the bus.
Although this idea of charging a child to ride the bus may be costly, it is a solution to the problem. If the parents help to bring in money to the school district, then several of the younger teachers who were to be notified that they may lose their jobs can still remain as teachers.
Teachers give their students one of the most important things in the world--the gift of knowledge.
Everyone is complaining about how terrible things are on this planet, like pollution, crime, abortion--the list goes on and on.
The only way things are going to get better is if people are educated.
