Q: My travel agent says I could save money using Tower Air and American Trans Air to Europe and some domestic destinations. Aren’t these primarily charter operators, and what type of planes do they fly?

A: Both carriers operate charter as well as scheduled services on domestic and international routes, though not with the same frequency as the major airlines. Tower uses 747 aircraft and ATA has a mixed fleet of Lockheed 1011s and smaller aircraft.

Q: Where can I make reservations and obtain tickets for a railroad trip through Mexico without buying them as part of a tour package?

Q: Do all cruise ships offer fare discounts for children?

Exceptions include Carnival, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) and Princess, which offer lower rates for third and fourth persons in a stateroom, regardless of age, and American Hawaii, with a flat rate for children 16 and under.
