Theater Winners: “Crazy for You,” which features songs by George and Ira Gershwin, has been chosen best musical, and “Marvin’s Room,” an Off-Broadway comedy-drama about a dying woman and her family, was named best play of the 1991-92 theater season by the Drama Desk. The organization of New York theater journalists and critics also picked Laura Esterman of “Marvin’s Room” as best actress in a play and Brian Bedford of the short-lived “Two Shakespearean Actors” as best actor. Faith Prince, Miss Adelaide in “Guys and Dolls,” was named best actress in a musical. Her co-star, Nathan Lane, won the actor-musical prize in a tie with Gregory Hines of “Jelly’s Last Jam.” “Guys and Dolls” got seven awards, the most of any show.
