Ueberroth to Speak at Economic Vitality Summit
Peter V. Ueberroth, head of both the California Council on Competitiveness and the Rebuild L. A. task force, will be featured speaker at the first Ventura County Summit on Economic Vitality, to be held Monday at the Sherwood Country Club near Thousand Oaks.
More than 400 representatives of business and government are expected to attend the event, according to Marshall Milligan, co-chairman of the sponsoring Ventura County Council on Economic Vitality.
Milligan, president of Bank of A. Levy, said the council has five primary goals: business retention, streamlining permit and regulatory processes, dealing with Air Pollution Control District Rule 210 mandating reduced commuter traffic, affordable housing and improved relations between government and business.
