Ford Calls Back 306,000 Cars: Ford Motor Co. agreed to recall 306,000 1987 cars that exceed federal standards for carbon-monoxide emissions. Included are Ford Taurus and Taurus wagons and Mercury Sable and Sable wagons with three-liter, fuel-injected engines, the Environmental Protection Agency said. California vehicles aren’t included in the recall. The problem was discovered during EPA testing. Ford will replace the catalytic converter assembly on the vehicles at no charge.
