StorageTek, HP Strike Deal: Storage Technology Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co. announced plans for joint marketing of some products. The companies said the agreement will help them control the costs of integrating StorageTek’s peripheral products into HP’s business systems and servers. The agreement involves StorageTek’s 4220 and 4280 information storage retrieval products and HP’s PA-RISC-based 3000 and 9000 business systems and servers. Company officials hope to have StorageTek’s products available on HP’s high-end computer systems later this year.
