ANAHEIM — A pair of toddlers who were pulled out of a swimming pool Tuesday morning were listed in good condition, authorities said.
The 1-year-old boys, Aaron Chavez and Nathan Orduno, apparently fell into a pool shortly before 10 a.m. after getting past a gate that was not fully closed, an Anaheim Fire Department dispatcher said.
Both were listed in good condition late Tuesday, according to a nursing supervisor at Children’s Hospital of Orange County in Orange.
The boys apparently were in the water about five minutes before they were discovered by relatives, who pulled them out of the water and began cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Fire Department officials said.
After a call to 911, Anaheim police officers arrived at the home in the 700 block of North Philadelphia Street and continued the life-saving technique.
The boys were first taken to Anaheim Memorial Hospital, then transferred to CHOC.
