PARIS — Euro Disney said it was on target to meet its goal of 11 million visitors in its first year of operations and was pleased with the turnout since it opened a theme park near Paris on April 12.
The French daily newspaper Liberation reported that attendance had been disappointing, but a Euro Disney spokesman told Reuters: “We are very satisfied with attendance.”
The spokesman said it was company policy not to divulge exact attendance figures, but that between 20,000 and 60,000 people had paid to enter the park each day.
