Pomona : Little League Raising Funds
The Pomona Southwest Little League, in an effort to raise money to buy uniforms and equipment for its ballplayers, has acquired 10,000 tickets to a California Angels baseball game June 16 for resale to the public.
The general admission tickets are for a home game with the Texas Rangers at which pitcher Nolan Ryan is to be inducted into the Angels Hall of Fame.
Connley Davidson, the league’s ways and means chairman, said the tickets, with a $4 face value, were acquired from the Angels at a discount and are being sold for $3.
