In response to David Broder’s “The Perils of a Perot Presidency,” Commentary, April 28: Here is another example of “inside the beltway” myopia. What this country needs is someone who can solve problems. The current incumbent has not only not solved any of the basic problems facing this country but has added to them. And “Slick Willie” shows no indication of doing any better.
May I remind Broder that the last President who had not come up through the political system of this country was Dwight D. Eisenhower, also a man who had gotten things done--in a big way!
Ross Perot will be the next President. Count on it.
