Tom Wilson, previously the Detroit Pistons’ chief executive officer, was named president of the club, adding basketball decisions to the off-court business he already oversees. Wilson, 42, said his first move will be to name a head coach to replace Chuck Daly, who resigned earlier this month.

Before joining the Pistons in 1977, Wilson worked for the Lakers and the Los Angeles Kings.
