NASDAQ After-Hours Dealer Trading Slated: The computerized NASDAQ stock market said it will extend trading on its dealer network beginning May 27. The trading on NASDAQ’s SelectNet system will allow brokers to negotiate and execute trades with each other from the regular closing time of 4 p.m. Eastern time until 5:15 p.m. The longer trading day, approved by the SEC last month, is the latest venture into after-hours trading and reflects NASDAQ’s attempts to compete with conventional stock exchanges.
