Ojai : Man Dies After He Is Thrown From Car
A 55-year-old Ventura man died of massive head injuries after his car overturned on California 33 and he was ejected onto the roadway, authorities said Saturday.
Horst Mollman was pronounced dead at Ojai Valley Community Hospital at 10:40 p.m. Friday, the Ventura County coroner’s office said.
Mollman was driving south on California 33, about nine miles north of Matilija Creek, when he swerved onto the right shoulder for unknown reasons, the California Highway Patrol said. He over corrected, causing his car to flip over, and he was ejected from the car, the CHP said.
He was taken to Ojai Valley Community Hospital where he later died, the CHP said. The accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. Friday.
