South Africa has won a battle to increase the size of its team for its historic return to the Olympics Games, the country’s Olympic Committee chairman said.
Sam Ramsamy made the announcement after returning from Switzerland, where he met with IOC officials.
The number of athletes and officials going to Barcelona for the Summer Games will “go into three figures,” Ramsamy said. He declined to be more specific but said he was “greatly satisfied” with the results of the meeting.
