The trial dealing with the emotional distress issues in the death of Loyola basketball star Hank Gathers has been postponed until Aug. 10 in Los Angeles County Superior Court in Torrance. The trial, scheduled to start June 1, was continued because of conflicts with lawyers and doctors schedules.

The wrongful death portion of the suit was settled earlier this year. The issues remaining involve allegations of negligence by the Gathers family against the two doctors who treated Gathers on the court at Gersten Pavilion after he collapsed while playing in a postseason game, March 4, 1990.
