HOME VOTERS: More and more, Orange County residents are staying home to vote. Local absentee ballots cast for June primaries will have almost tripled since 1984, with a record 73,000-plus absentees expected in Tuesday’s primary election. . . . “The ballots are getting so long and complicated, voters are finding it easier to do them at home and avoid the line at the polls,” says Betty Melberg of the county registrar’s office.
