Vote to Restore City’s Luster

Share

I am a 24-year member of the Los Angeles Police Department. I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I have witnessed the continuing decay of the City of the Angels and the crumbling economic base of this city over the past 20 years.

Who put the city in debt to the tune of over $20 million? Who lowered the quality of life? Who permitted community after community to change their names to improve property values rather than addressing the problems?

Who allowed hundreds of businesses to leave the crime-infested inner city? Who drove hundreds of others out through the excessive taxation and absurd regulations imposed by the city of Los Angeles?

The mayor and certain City Council members did--not the members of the Los Angeles Police Department. The members of the LAPD continue to fight for law-abiding taxpayers.

It is time to tell it like it is. It is time for our elected officials to accept the blame for their neglect, which has affected us all. Let’s not let the ruin spread.

Vote this election day and pray that we can turn this disaster around and restore the luster to this worn and tarnished City of the Angels.
