Sliding Door Firm Owner Relocating Near Ojai

Jim Greenway, president of Southern California Overhead Door Co., admits that an important reason for moving his firm’s headquarters to Ventura from South El Monte is personal: “I wanted my family to live in Ventura County.”
While workers are putting the finishing touches on the company’s new offices, showroom and warehouse on Market Street, construction has already started on a new home for the Greenways in the Ojai area. The family formerly lived in Orange County.
Greenway said Southern California Overhead will service and install sliding doors for commercial, industrial and residential customers throughout Ventura County. The new location is the 30-year-old company’s third unit, augmenting others in South El Monte and Pasadena. Annual sales total $3.5 million, Greenway said.
