SAN DIEGO : Tipster Leads Police to Body
The body of a 46-year-old man was found in a Southeast San Diego home after an anonymous caller told police to check out the residence, San Diego police said.
The victim, who was shot several times in the head, was identified Monday as Jose Luis Alfaro. It was not known whether he lived at the house in the 700 block of 39th Street.
San Diego police spokesman Bill Robinson said police were called about 6:30 a.m. Saturday by a man who told them that “there is a badly hurt person” at the address and hung up. The door was open and the victim was lying on the floor, Robinson said.
