Jurisprudence
The woman who accused San Francisco 49er owner Eddie DeBartolo Jr. of sexually assaulting her, has reached an out-of-court settlement with him.
Gina Baross, 24, has dropped plans to file a civil suit against DeBartolo, according to her lawyer. DeBartolo reportedly reached a settlement with Baross last week, according to San Francisco newspapers.
The settlement calls for DeBartolo to pay Baross several hundred-thousand dollars, the Chronicle reported.
Baross, a Redwood City waitress, accused DeBartolo of assaulting her during a party at his Menlo Park condominium in February. She said the 49er owner attacked her in his bedroom when she refused to have sex with him.
