Sullivan, above, has had condoms thrown at him at AIDS rallies and has taken heat for the Administration’s response to the L.A. riots. But he should find a friendly audience when he appears Friday at UC Irvine, as commencement speaker for its College of Medicine. With an array of health problems at his doorstep, Sullivan has singled out a main goal: a smoke-free America by the year 2000.
