BOSS’S EXAMPLE: A federal judge’s decision Tuesday to strike down the “decency standard” of the National Endowment for the Arts (F1) was hailed by attorney James V. Selna, who filed a successful 1990 federal lawsuit for the Newport Harbor Art Museum against the NEA over its anti-obscenity pledge for grant recipients. . . . Selna, a museum trustee, says: “It’s encouraging that the courts continue to recognize and uphold artists’ right of free expression.”
