Law Professor Gets Fulbright Fellowship

Jon H. Sylvester of Los Feliz, a professor at Loyola Law School of Loyola Marymount University, was recently awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to teach at the University of Nairobi during the 1992-93 academic year.
Sylvester, who teaches contracts and international business transactions, will teach similar courses, lecture on the Third World debt crisis, and do research on commercial and trade law in East Africa.
Sylvester received a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University in 1973 and a master’s of journalism in 1975 from the University of California, Berkeley. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 1981. He joined the faculty at Loyola Law School in 1989 after practicing law in Washington. He has also taught at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing.
