A Challenge: The Recording Industry Assn. of America said Thursday it will seek to have Washington state’s new erotic music legislation declared unconstitutional. Signed into law March 7, the legislation amends a 1969 “harmful to minors” law to specifically include sound recordings. RIAA Executive Vice President Hilary Rosen said the organization was joining with the Washington Music Coalition and the American Civil Liberties Union to fight “political grandstanding disguised as public concern for children.”
