WESTLAKE VILLAGE : City Manager to Resign by Year-End
Westlake Village City Manager Larry Bagley announced Thursday that he will leave his post by the end of the year to go into business with his family.
Bagley, city manager since 1988, said he will go to work with his father in a variety of ventures, including a farm in Northern California and the operation of several bookstores. “It’s exciting and at the same time it’s a little bit risky,” said Bagley, 46.
A city manager in various communities since 1975, Bagley will stay at his post until a successor is chosen, a process that will begin immediately.
City Councilman Doug Yarrow lamented Bagley’s departure, saying: “It’s always hard to lose a valuable asset.”
