IT’S WHO YOU ARE: Computer and math skills are important in the job market, but personality ranks higher with employers. That’s the finding in a nationwide survey of a variety of industries by National Education Centers in Irvine, which operates 50 trade schools. English skills also ranked high. . . . Says the NEC’s Michael Brannick: “Five years ago computer skills would have topped the list. Businesses are showing a growing need for strong interpersonal skills.”
