HIS VERSION: Today’s 20th anniversary of the Watergate break-in has meant more visitors this week to the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace in Yorba Linda. You can find Watergate information in three places there. A narrator briefly touches on it in a biographical film. There’s a Watergate room, where the June 23, 1972, “smoking gun” tape can be heard: Nixon’s orders via Bob Haldeman to the CIA, “Don’t go any further into this case, period.” Also, Nixon answers Watergate questions on tape in a TV room. He calls Watergate “political shenanigans” and adds: “No one was killed; no election was stolen.”
