BUY A TALL ONE: L.A. Clippers’ 6-foot-10 Charles Smith has taken on a new side job--tending bar. It’s all for a good cause: The Lobby Bar at the Irvine Marriott will donate a portion of sales on Smith’s shift tonight to charity. It’s all to promote his “Battle of the Basketball Stars,” an athletic competition for NBA stars--such as Dominique Wilkins--at the Irvine Spectrum Complex on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Smith’s annual event raises money for children’s charities.
