Titans’ Powell Makes All-Freshman Team
Dante Powell, the Cal State Fullerton left fielder who helped the Titans advance to the College World Series championship game this season, was selected Monday to the Baseball America all-freshman team.
Powell, a former Long Beach Millikan standout, batted .307 with five home runs and 32 runs batted in and stole 19 bases. He joins Michael Smith of Georgia Tech and Richie Taylor of Wichita State on the publication’s freshman first team.
