VAN NUYS : Follow-Home Theft Suspects Face Trial
Two men were ordered Wednesday to stand trial on charges that they participated in several follow-home robberies.
Bernard Roberts, 24, of Granada Hills and Richard Talley, 22, of Pasadena will be arraigned on July 8. Roberts faces 10 counts in connection with residential robberies that occurred in the West San Fernando Valley, and Talley faces two robbery counts involving a robbery in Encino.
Roberts and Talley were arrested along with a third man and a juvenile on May 26 when they allegedly tried to steal a $30,000 diamond ring from a Woodland Hills woman that they had followed from a grocery store.
However, Van Nuys Municipal Judge Robert L. Swasey dismissed a robbery charge against Talley in that incident.
The third man, Derrick Mosley, 20, of Pacoima, pleaded guilty last week to participating in the robbery.
Mosley is scheduled to be sentenced July 14.
The district attorney’s office has not decided whether to file charges against the juvenile.
