The mind reels at the infinite stupidity of the Board of Supervisors allowing Dixon to squander public funds to an obscene degree: $1.4 million to furnish his offices; an open-ended expense account, which amounted to $117,000 last year. All this and more.

Is it any wonder the electorate, cynical and disgusted, stays away from the polls in droves? In this area, with its homeless, its poverty-stricken, its crumbling schools, a bureaucrat freely spends millions unchecked by any kind of oversight. It must be corrected!
