Dixon’s Expenditures

Share

In response to “Audit Critical of Top County Administrator,” June 19:

It was most disturbing to me, as I’m sure it was to many others, to read about the reckless expenditures of Los Angeles County Chief Administration Officer Richard Dixon’s unchecked control of public funds. This has to be a horrible reflection on our Board of Supervisors to condone such a policy.

Here we have Dixon making $200,000 a year with an open-ended expense account of $117,000, who has the temerity to proclaim that he needn’t retain records of his expenditures. Thank the Lord for the likes of Gloria Molina, our newest board member, who continues to be our most ardent critic and watch dog of the county finances and policies.
