RUPERT AND RITUALS

Congratulations to Barry Siegel for tackling a controversial issue (“Idaho Gothic,” May 17). Unfortunately, he appears to have fallen for the same shtick that has kept authorities off the trail of Satan worshipers. Tragically, sexual molestation and torture of children are part and parcel of satanic ritual. The eyewitness testimony from survivors is consistent around the world and, in recent years, has become overwhelming.

The most painful cut of all was when little Timothy’s testimony was disregarded. Our national subscription to denial remains intact. The dynamics of multiple-personality disorder, pedophilia and other components of ritualistic sexual molestation are extremely complex and well hidden by adult perpetrators for obvious reasons. When will we listen to the children?
