Details of AT&T;, Union Contract Announced: The tentative contract would raise wages for American Telephone & Telegraph Co.’s union workers up to 12.3% over three years, improve job security and expand other benefits, union and company officials said. The new package, agreed to by AT&T; and its two unions with the help of a federal mediator, would cost the company $1.5 billion over the life of the contract, AT&T; officials said. The contract includes a 13% increase in pensions for workers retiring after May 31, 1992.
