GRANADA HILLS : Reward Offered in Slaying of Woman
The Los Angeles City Council is offering a $25,000 reward in an effort to catch and convict the killer of a Granada Hills woman.
Ellen Holohan, 63, was discovered dead in her home at 16912 Minnehaha St. in February, said Ali Sar, press secretary for City Councilman Hal Bernson, who proposed the award.
“She was very savagely beaten,” Sar said. “The councilman is hoping the award money will serve as an incentive for somebody to come forward with some valuable information that will lead to the arrest of someone for this crime.” The council authorized the award Tuesday.
Holohan had installed an elaborate security system in her home prior to the attack, Sar said. Holohan’s late husband, Eddie Holohan, was the administrative assistant to the general manager of the Department of Airports from 1970 until his retirement in 1986.
