GREEN VALLEY : Woman, 3 Children Hurt in Accident

A woman and three young girls were injured when the car they were riding in overturned Thursday on a road in the mountain town of Green Valley, the California Highway Patrol said.

The three girls, who are sisters, were flown by helicopter to Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles after the 2 p.m. accident at 35100 San Francisquito Canyon Road in the mountains above Santa Clarita, CHP Cpl. Rex Bartholme said.

Savannah Bardsley, 4, was listed in serious condition with head injuries and her twin sister, Chelsea Bardsley, 4, was in good condition with cuts to her face, nursing supervisor Denise Henry said. Ana Bardsley, 14 months, was treated for a fractured collarbone and released, she said. The sisters are from Long Beach, Henry said.

The car’s driver, a 28-year-old Lake Elizabeth woman, sustained chest injuries in the accident and was listed in critical condition at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Santa Clarita, nursing supervisor Rose Morelli said. Authorities could not confirm whether the woman is the mother of the three girls.
