Surf’s Up for AIDS Research: KTWV-FM (94.7), the station of soothing sounds known as “The Wave,” has reached the $1-million mark in its efforts to raise funds for the American Foundation for AIDS Research. The money was raised over the past five years through the sale of annual “WAVE Aid” compact discs--compilations of the best music heard on the station. General Manager Christopher J. Claus said the station is currently developing its next sampler, “WAVE Aid 6,” to benefit the organization.
