Investors Arbitration Services Inc., a consulting firm based in Woodland Hills, said Michael L. Paule, senior vice president, has been named president and chief operating officer. Paule, 30, joined the firm two years ago.

Iwerks Entertainment, a Burbank company that designs and builds specialized motion picture theater systems, has appointed Bob Dean manager of sales for North America.

Dean was previously a manager at Omni Films International.
