The New and the Renewed: “Lifestories: Families in Crisis,” about issues facing American families, and “Shakespeare: The Animated Tales” are two new family TV series set to join HBO this fall, HBO announced Wednesday at the TV press tour. HBO also renewed its popular series “Dream On” and “Tales From the Crypt” for 1993. . . . As part of a “Women and Politics” campaign on the cable channel Lifetime to encourage women to get involved in the political process, Blair Brown (“The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd”) will star in the October movie “Majority Rule,” about a female general who runs for President.
