Jeffrey Hammonds’ solo home run in the top of the sixth inning, the only hit by the United States, lifted the U.S. Olympic baseball team to a 2-1 victory over the Korean national team at Fort Mill, S.C.

Hammonds, the fourth pick overall in last month’s amateur baseball draft, hit a 2-0 pitch from Korea starter Sun-Dong Lim (0-1) over the wall in left center.

Team USA is 20-5 with five games left in its national tour and is 3-1 against Korea.
