Creative Computer Applications Inc., a Calabasas provider of computer systems for medical testing laboratories, reported slightly lower sales and earnings for its fiscal third quarter that ended May 31.

The company said it earned $60,737 on revenue of $1.23 million, compared with a net income of $89,600 on revenue of $1.25 million a year earlier. However, Steven Besbeck, Creative’s president, attributed the quarterly decline to a one-week delay in obtaining signed contracts valued at $190,000.

Besbeck added that he expected Creative to meet its earlier forecast of achieving record earnings in its 1992 fiscal year. Through three quarters, the company has earned $268,393, up 32% from a year earlier.
