SEAL BEACH —
The body of a Westminster man, an apparent drowning victim, was found in the water at the 2nd Street beach area early Tuesday, the county coroner’s office reported.
Richard Lee, 42, died about 5 a.m., Senior Deputy Coroner Cherry Goodman said.
A passerby found his body in the waves about 5:40 a.m., police said. He was wearing pants and a shirt.
Police did not know how long the body had been in the water. They said that Lee had not been reported missing. There was no sign of trauma on the body, coroners said.
