SANTA CLARITA : Free Trees Offered to 500 Residents
The first 500 Santa Clarita residents to contact the city will receive a free 15-gallon tree to plant near the curbs in front of their houses.
The program is part of the city’s continuing effort to beautify the community, particularly barren public parkways.
Those who want a free tree should contact the parks department by Aug. 31 at (805) 286-4000.
